Listen: Usher- “Trading Places” & “This Ain’t Sex”

Usher has a new track called “Trading Places”. The song is about the woman taking on the role of the man for the day. I find this song kind of humorous, because me and my girls laugh about how some men nowadays want to be the woman in the relationship…they want you to call them and take them out…so to hear a song that romanticizes this sort of behavior is pretty funny. In the context of role switching for a day and not as a lifestyle, the song is pretty cool and I can imagine a pretty dope video for this. The beat is hot and Usher sounds great…so I’m kinda digging this. Click here to listen.

Usher has another new track called “This Ain’t Sex”. I’m kinda digging this song too…it has a nice groove to it. This song sounds a lot more Top-40 Adult Contemporary than “Love In the Club”. Perhaps being a married father has made his sound a lot more grown, but I think that he can find a way to keep his sound a little more fresh. Click here to listen.

What do you guys think of these tracks? Ladies have you dealt with guys who want you to wear the pants? lol. Do these tracks make you more excited for Usher’s new album?

pay ahahaha? if im like what im hearing imma go support the artist. if i dont i wont. simple. you put out a shit album, i wont be copping it. nothing wrong with a little try before you buy. i dont see it as being any worst than purchasing a legitmate copy of a CD and then transferring the songs onto your iPod or watever. there is always going to be market failure, regardless of how technology changes and the rapid speed at which it changes and the Internet has already fundamentally change the course and nature of the business of music and how recording industries function commercially. most all available music in the future will be available online, and advertisers will fund the majority of revenue streams which go on to pay music companies and their artists. as i said before you cannot contain the monster that is digital piracy. convenience will always outstrip supply and demand and people want the music they seek readily and immediately. thats why online sites such as Amazon.com and iTunes has been so successful because they understand what consumers want. the more readily the industry recognises that consumers are KING and that they cannot screw us over anymore, the sooner they can innovate their thinking strategies across a broad range of areas to cater to what is supposedly poor record sales.

This aint sex sounds like Omarion Entourage but more Robin Thicke style

Trading places is another Prince bite so it has to be the dream, Usher trying to replicate ‘until the end of time’

    its good, just not great.

I like both songs. Trading spaces is nicer. Thinking about it now I do feel The Dreams writing style in the song.
