Watch: Raheem DeVaughn “Try Again”

Raheem DeVaughn has a new video for his song “Try Again”. I’m a little surprised that he chose this song to do a video for since he has far better songs on his album. “Mo Better” would’ve been an excellent choice for a single instead. The video is a little on the low budget side, but since I’m a fan I have to give him a half a pass on that one. He did a good job capturing the emotion of the song for the most part…but there isn’t really anything compelling about the video.

What do you guys think of the video? Is this song a good choice for a single?

this song including the interlude can we try again? is my favourite track off lbm. the interlude really captures the struggle and sincerity of the artist in a measure of seconds — i wish love was easier and everlasting - but when you jumped ship, baby, you took a piece of me — if u can see past my imperfections, then i can just love you for who you are, if time heals all wounds, im hopin you come around soon, maybe we can try again? its a great message, great songwriting, it should serve as an anthem for anyone who is contemplating divorce or separation as the easy option out of any relationship (however, there are exceptions of course) - if people could just take a step back and assess the relationship in first instance before ending it, many are compelled to only see the problems/flaws in a relationship, never noticing that there are always solutions around every corner - all it takes is just a little cooperative thinking - it is amazing, if you haven’t realize that very few people are capable to “think”, because it is such a difficult process. second chances are a given but many times people are not big enough to see past that, they remain so bitter and deluded, i knew i blew it on many occassions. it takes two fully mature people for a relationship to be successful, and in todays society that is asking for a lot. the divorce rate is so high because we are a society that demands respect, patience, and loyalty but fail to reciprocate any of those.

anyways, im lovin the key change in the bridge. if your having trouble communicating with a girl your not on good terms with, then this track should definitely be the one for her to hear. ive read conflicting information that this is not the official video for this track. mo better, although a very good track, is little too depressing; try again is little mid-tempo and puts a spring in your step. drop marathon next!
