Bow Wow has a new track called “Pole In My Basement” and yes it is as bad as it sounds lol. As if making a song about strippers isn’t cliche enough, he compounds it compounds it with rapping with the T-Pain voice decoder thing. It’s unfortunate to me that Bow Wow’s idea of growing up or showing his audience that he is older is making his music more sexualized and throwing in a few curse words. I’m sure that he is just talking about his experiences, but considering that his fan base is still 21 and under…it would be noble of him to continue keeping his music at least somewhat clean and harmless. While I’m ranting…I’m sick of songs about constantly bigging up strippers…that is NOT something that needs to be glorified at all. But on a sidenote, he is a handsome young man. Click here to listen
What do you guys think of this song? Do you think this is the right direction for Bow Wow to go with his more “adult” music?

Don’t you hate it when you have to prove yourself?
Poor Bow Wow. He’s probably a virgin, but he has to make songs like this to try to prove otherwise.
The beat is hot though. I’ll probably listen in my car.

So Bow Wow is trying to prove he is all grown up and a man by making stripper songs? I don’t mind songs about going to the club, being a criminal, and being a player but when 99.9 percent of mainstream hip hop is doing it you can’t help but wonder what happened to the substance Rap used to have. Thank god for that Roots album. What was the last big social conscience song to hit the radio?
Naw!
I really don’t like the direction,Bow is going in with this song.He was also a performer at the concert. He kept rambling about some crap” which seemed like all freaken night to me.But the crowd began wilding when Omarion came on and he and Bow did their song called “girlfriend”!
Now that was a hot song! The album “Face Off”,that he and 0 did together was pretty good.
Bow needs to stick with songs in that kind of line……
Ne-yo E 2 more boo
I don’t see anything wrong with the song. If it was anyone else who was singing the song you would be saying that it is a hit. That’s what’s wrong with the hip hop community…. they wanna praise the jay z’s and 50 cents who brag and promote selling drugs and violence but when an artist who doesn’t comes along, everyone wants to jump on them about THEIR content….smh.
Actually Donna, I’m just as vocal about 50 Cent, Jay-Z, Snoop Dogg and everyone else who raps about drugs, violence, etc. All you have to do is scroll down and look at the Jay-Z post where I criticized his lack of professionalism by dissing a NBA player when he is a team owner.

The link above is a song from young jeezy and kanye west called ‘Put on’. On my opinion, Jeezy isn’t the greatest on the track, but there’s a sick beat. It also looks like Kanye hopped up on the vocoder too! Way to conform!
Jeezy is good,period!
Shaffer is the best!
lyrics r shit. beats crazy, and the beats from “lil boosie - true soldiers” which i highly prefer more
Yo its obvious that radio aint gunna play this, but oh my word club and car track or what!!! At the end of the day every rapper, group, pop artist maike song about various things not the same approach every time or shit would be boring!!! Jus ebnjoy that the song is meant to be a club banger!! The Beat, The Flow and the vocoder sound sik!! stop hating!!
