Hey folks…sorry for the lack of posting in the last few days…sometimes I just need a break, ya’ll ever feel that way? Sh!t I still need a break…but duty calls and I gotta get back in the swing of things so here are a few tracks hitting the net.
Teyana Taylor from Pharrell’s Star Trak label has a new track called “Google Me”. I guess she is a rap-singer and she has a pretty interesting voice and swagger. She sounds like a cross between a less corny version of Lil Mama and Keyshia Cole (not quite on Keyshia’s vocal level though). I love the whole “google me baby” chorus…that is definitely catchy and I’m surprised someone hasn’t used this line as a hook before. I think she is going to need a video to put this song over the top, but so far I kinda like. Click here to listen
DJ Felli Fel has a new track with Ne-Yo, Kanye West, and Jermaine Dupri called “Finer Things”. I’m always happy to hear Kanye on a track, so call me totally partial. I like the production and vibe of this track a lot more than his other single “Get Buck”. I like both Ne-Yo and JD on the track…this is a hot one. Click here to listen
I have a hard time posting 50 Cent tracks, because I just flat out don’t like him…however I will make an exception for this track since he isn’t talking about killing people and all that junk like usual. He has a new track “Party Ain’t Over” featuring Young Buck. I kinda like this…the beat is hot and different from what 50 usually spits over and I kinda like his flow too. Young Buck sounds more in his element with this track. This is catchy, I can’t front. Click here to listen
Talib Kweli and Res teamed up for “Industry Diary” which is a flip on Alicia Keys’ “Diary”. If I’m not mistaken thehonorable loves Res, so I’m sure he will like this. Talib comes much harder on the track than Res and takes the lyrical content a bit deeper. He definitely steals the show. Overall though, this is just cool…nothing to write home about, but it’s a nice track with a cool vibe. Click here to listen

I read on ConcreteLoop.com that Teyana has already done a video for Google Me. There a pics there as well. I agree it is a catchy little song.
Someone posted her myspace on a forum i visit, she was supposedly on sweet 16 on mtv…
and what happened to Thesis, I see has not posted this year and was kicked off of contributor’s row.
she was on the beat real nice… i liked it.. and google better hit her up with a check or something.. cause i googled her while listening to the song just be cause of the hook lol

Shes ok. I still don’t think she’ll be as good as Kelis was w/ the neptunes. I still think those are classics
Yeah I saw her episode on My Super Sweet 16. I was trying to figure out how her mom was balling enough to get her a Range Rover (I think) and put on such an extravagant party.
As far as Thesis…he went AWOL. So…after 4 months of no contributing the pic has to come down. We still got love for him though!

i guess that teyana chic is just not meant for my generation, but rather for the teeny boppers cuz im just not feelin it at all, although the google me part is kinda catchy. is she a rapper or a singer— she needs to pick one and focus on it cuz shes rather mediocre at both personally speaking

that dj felli fel song has been out for awhile kinda…it used to be just cyssero, kanye and ne-yo. guess they took cyssero off it, his verses were pretty weak anyway.
thehayti…I can always count on you to point out how old a song is, but does it really matter? I’m not in a song posting competition. If I’m posting something old or something people have already heard then they don’t have to listen to it.
