Ok I know it’s not exactly groundbreaking to take shots at the suspiciously close relationship between Baby and Lil Wayne, but after seeing the new cover of XXL magazine I couldn’t resist. What is up with Baby getting Lil Wayne’s face tattooed on his chest? How could a woman ever be turned on by a man who has another man tattooed on his body? I know they are supposed to close, but that’s a little too close dammit. On another note…all those tats on their bodies are just disgusting. That shit is not going to look good when they are 50 lol. Oh yeah and on another ‘nother note…it looks like Baby has lost some weight..or maybe they airbrushed him skinnier and Lil Wayne fatter.
What do you guys think about Baby’s tat of Lil Wayne (I believe that Weezy has a Baby tattoo as well, but I can’t tell in these pics)? Is it just me or is that hella suspect?

LOL @ “priveledged enough to live in the south” but it couldn’t be more true. Down here we’ve had the chance to watch the entire game switch up over the last 5 years and watched this dude Wayne turn from just another New Orleans bounce rapper to the “best rapper alive”. Anyone who has some of Wayne’s early albums knows he was never a slouch when it came to flow… he always had one of the sickest, most clever verses in the Hot Boys and to this day I will bump “Lights Out” or “500 Degreez” just because you can hear the potential in his flow. The scariest part is that he’s 24… but he’s been in the game 12 years.
Is he gay? I don’t think so… I blame Baby for that entire situation because he raised Wayne to do the things he does, like the “mafia kiss” they did. Wayne wasn’t the only one doing it in Cash Money, but people will focus on Wayne because his status is so serious right now. I love it up here in NYC because people can’t stand Wayne when it comes to talk of the best, but when his shit come on in the club people bug out.

I wish there were set STANDARDS or better yet hip-hop board of directors to govern etc. Seeing how hip-hop is so diverse, there has been an anything goes stance on determining whats best. Some argue lyricism (in which I agree), record sales or how REAL they were… Iono but Wayne is just one of the ‘hottest’ out right now, and while that says something, there really aren’t just a lot of HOT people out… then again if you notice a lot of Wayne’s heat samples off his previous records. And the hook/beat is already so hot, anything he spits even if its sub-par sounds like the new-hotness just because…

You know that Baby is his stepfather right? Lots of dad’s/step-dads get names or pictures of their kids on them. Lil Wayne has a “Baby” tat on his shoulder i believe as well. Pretty normal for a father/son bond if you ask me.

Father son relationship if you ask me. I have the image of my father tattoo’d on me. He is the man that raised me and taught me how to be man. Their realtionship is close because Wayne’s real father was killed when wayne was like 12 or 13 and Baby sort of informally adopted him(No paperwork) and raised wayne as his own. Wayne was an only child and had no one. So does Wayne have love for Baby? Hell Yeah!! He molded Wayne into who he is today. As far as the kissing that can be for ever argued but we must NOT FORGET they are FATHER AND SON. I know some familys where the Son’s greet their father with a kiss on the cheek. Chris, in order for racism to be the same as homophobia, homosexuals would have to be shipped like cargo in boats. Two different worlds, one way less hostile than the other, although wrong all the same. As for the tattoos, all I can say is to each his own. I’d personally be very put off by a guy wanting to put my face on his body because there’s always the opportunity we may break up. Hell, I’ve had friends that I thought were for life and gotten into it with family members who I thought I’d be tight with until my dying day, but it didn’t work out. I’ve never seen two grown men kiss on the lips who were NOT in a relationship, and there are a lot of responsible fathers and male relatives who are close within my family. At the end of the day, that’s their business, but I am raising an eyebrow.
By the way, Reecie, the only reason I googled this article was because yesterday on 92.3 FM (Chicago), the deejays were talking about Baby’s tattoos. I had no idea what they were talking about because I’m more likely to listen to “conscious” hip hop (Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Rakim) than commercial rap about bling, licking rappers, and so forth. However, I was curious what was the big deal about a tattoo. I definitely agree with you in regards to the posts getting a little on the ignant side. Just because someone disagrees doesn’t mean you have to say fuck ‘em and all; it’s just a difference of opinion. I have a tattoo so I’m not opposed to tattoos. However, mine is of a book and the words “Live to Write” for being an author. I think a tattoo that means something to the person is cool, but I’ll be damned if I get somebody’s face on my body. A photograph will do.
