New Videos: Timbaland- The Way I Are; Hurricane Chris- Ay Bay Bay

Timbaland has a smokin hot new video for his song “The Way I Are” featuring Keri Hilson. Although there really isn’t much to the video, there’s something about it that I’m really digging. Keri and Timbaland have great chemistry together and they both bring a magnetic swagger to the video. It’s nice to see Timbaland give someone other than Nelly and JT some shine. Aside from the horrendous grammar of the song…it’s definitely a winner.

Hurricane Chris has a new video for his super catchy song “Ay Bay Bay”. I looove this song…so I’m happy to see that he’s got a video out for it. I’m sure that this song is going to be a much bigger hit now. The video is a typical dirty south video but it’s a lot of fun to watch. Check it out.

What do you think about these two new videos? Why did Timbo have to butcher the English language by naming his song “The Way I Are”? Does Hurricane Chris have you wanting to say “Ay Bay Bay”?

Keri’s Hilson is gonna be a big star. I can’t wait for her album to drop. I have been a fan ever since i first discovered her myspace two years ago… I hope timbaland doesn’t drop the ball onher project like he did Ms. Jade and Kiley Dean…

Is it just me, or isn’t it wierd how in Timbaland’s new video, they’re people playing soccer throughout the whole video? I don’t see the point in this. Maybe it symbolizes something, i don’t know. Other than that Timbaland’s new video is hot. Lovin the video effects in it.

That Ay Bay Bay song is stupid.

I thought the soccer thing was hella random too!

“Ay Bay Bay” brings nothing whatsoever to anything on any type of level.

“The Way I Are” is a purified club joint — extra fresh, delicious, and crispy. The lighting and vibe of the video are hot even though there could have been a mean club scene rager with everyone in black tie apparel — that woulda been nice and fitting. The soccer theme perhaps appeals to more of a international crowd? As a soccer player, I liked it.

I was just at County Market the other day. (SHREVEPORT STAND UP.)

Ay Bay Bay video is the typical dirty south video, but what were you expecting. I can’t hate on my city.

Timbaland’s video is such a disappointment. His first single could have been a lot bigger, but the video didn’t put it over the top. The song is the best song on the album.

It interesting that in 2004 JD had a great year by producing numerous number one hit for Usher and Mariah Carey. After the success of those two project he tried to follow it up with the release of his solo album which didn’t do well.

Fast forward a few years later Timbaland had great year producing numerous hit for Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake. He followed that up with his solo album and so far his solo album isn’t doing that great. I will admit it is to soon to call it a failure and it did produce a number one hit but that was mostly because of Furtado and Timberlake. I guess it is hard for producer to make it as artist.

Are Timbaland and JD still beefing with each other.

i think producers like timbo, pharrell, jd etc. just put out solo albums to get ideas out, because let’s face it, if they came out as solo acts and didnt have producing under their belts, no one would let them put out albums (except for N*E*R*D, but it was also stated that that album was never intended to push millions of copies). i kinda see it as them saying “hey, ive got money, ive got beats. why not?” because if timbo has been releasing albums thinking he can be a solo talent, he’s crazy.

p.s. “ay bay bay” is ridiculous… and not in a good way

For the video the way I are; there were two major soccer matches going on in the past couple of months. Copa America and the world cup under 20. So for a buisseness perspective it was a good idea.
