Lupe- “US Placers” ft. Kanye & Pharrell (listen)
Not a bad track. Personally I think Lupe’s flow outshined the rest of ‘em…I thought Kanye woulda came stronger (no Lil’ Cease) but it was eh…Pharrell was coo’. All in all, nice track idea featuring three of the hottest names in hip-hop today. Enjoy!
Jill Scott- “Hate on Me” (listen)
Jill is back with a new track about independence and doing what she’s gonna do and telling haters to go on and keep hatin. Laced with a jazzy/funky, give love to the horns type production, Jill’s back with the raw. Look out Jill’s “The Real Thing” droppin’ sometime round September!!!

Sup ya’ll. Ya’ll may or may not remember, but a few months ago, I wrote an article talking about which Femcee is leading the pack. I spoke heavily on my love for Jean Grae and Foxy Brown. As Jean Grae readies her upcoming efforts, i’m glad to hear that Foxy’s coming back soon with a mixtape and album, around the Fall. She’s got her hearing back and will soon be dropping “Black Roses” which will feature Hovie, Baby Cham, Spragga Benz and many more. To be honest with you, aside from Jean, Foxy is probably the only other femcee that i’ll actually spend money on. I heard her unreleased “The Fever” and felt that if that wasn’t shelved, it woulda done better than “Broken Silence.”
Indeed Foxy (nee Inga Marchand) has been through mad adversity in the last 6 years but I’m glad she’s still in the game and lookin to show cats what she’s made of. I really hope with all the time that has passed by that she finds herself in a new zone and be able to separate herself from any otha rapper, male or female. It seems like if there’s any femcee who can lead the pack or at least be a front runna, it would be Foxy. Don’t worry baby, Brooklyn still got ya back!!! Stay focused! Keep stylin… She’s also has a management deal with Black Hand Entertainment which allows her to sign some artists. I’m glad she’s coming back with some power moves….Lookin forward to that mixtape and that raw Foxy!

I really thought that since Jay was on the track cats would really ante up they lyrics but Fab sounded tired and lazy….Jay had some fervor and strength. lol….He let us know that he aint fall off at all. After a few more listens, i’ll have to say Fab’s verse wasn’t that bad. The Bushwick Sick, East New Yawk walk, Park Slope Dope, Bed Stuy Fly, Fort Greene lean lines were hot as hell. BROOOOOOOOOOKLYN!

Firstly let me say that I report this without any huge enthusiasm. As this is usually Reecie’s forte, I’m gonna report while she’s on vaca (come back soon R. lol). Anyway, I never followed the whole season like that. So here it is, 17 year old cutie patooty Jordin Sparks did her thang and became the youngest “Idol” winner. From what I did see of the show, the girl can definitely saaaang….Plus..umm.hmmmm…..give her another 4 years and she’ll be problem. lmao. Anyway, congrats Jordin! yada yada yada….read more here!

Yes folks, they’re back!!! This time bigger and badder than eva. lol. Aight whateva the case may be, I don’t know where ya’ll were 15 years ago when all this popped off but I remember I was probably in the 4th grade when Amy Fisher let the Roscoe go off on Joey’s wife thus scarring her face for life. It was so gangsta back then cause even after all this happened ole girl still fought to be with Joey. Anyway the “Long Island Lolita” went to jail and did her time while media outlets and comedy shows like “In Living Color” did sketches on the whole incident. You may remember Jim Carey’s infamous, “Joey Buttafuco ova heeeere” line. lol. I’ll never forget it…
Anywho, 15 years latah, they’re back in the headlines and apparently Joey and Amy are moving in with each other as both of their respective spouses are movin out! Talk about star-crossed lovers right? Anyway, fuh the thrill of it, read more here!

You may have heard of her….You may have not. Whatever the case may be, you definitely want to keep up to date on this rising talent. Most known for droppin’ memorable vocals on Nas’ “Can’t Forget About You” and Hov’s “Lost Ones,” Chrisette is about to drop a cd sampler entitled, “I AM.” Being a jazz fan, I had an instant affinity to Chrisette and I wish her a lot of success in this industry. I don’t know if others will agree but I will say she’s the R&B/Soul version of Lupe. I say this because of the way she entered in the game and her choice to be her own person and be “left” in an industry that forces you to conform.
If I had myspace access in the office (yep, i still get work done. hahaha), I woulda checked out her recent jawns and given my feedback. However, if you’d like to hear some upcoming tracks go to Chrisette Michele’s myspizzle. Definitely check it out and leave ya feedback here.
