Common….truly an unspoken King of Hip-Hop….not necessarily saying the king, but one of em…Ghostface included. Yes…I can HONESTLY say that i have ALL of his cds…from “Can I Borrow a Dollar” to “Be”…..he has such an oddly beautiful flow and he ALWAYS drops gems…on many, if not every song, Mr. Communism always has some quotable. On “Play Your Cards Right,” my man says, “i got more heart than clubs. the black spade, givin’em darker love.” or my favorite, “you get robbed, better yet jacked for diamonds. Leave you Nickel-less like Jack from Shining.” How can you not say this dude is a beast…on his track “Dream,” he says, “It’s a cold world, i’m a colder soldier”.lol…I love common fuh real (no elton). He’s such a veretan of this game and has always been on the humble….fuh real, he inspired Kweli and so many others….Just wishing he was a boss than under Kanye’s wing…i still dont get that!!!

The boy is back….THE BOI IS BACK……so jay’s really addressing cats on this…the production is sooooo smooth…love those horns….Jiggaman aka “The Black James Bond” lol…he’s reachin wit that one….I need to get back to listening to this track….I’ll be back to post my thoughts…

Aside from the fact that using the beat “Ether” to ether someone is kinda played out now, this is pretty funny…especially when Trump is speaking…This may have gone passed a few heads but you know, gotta let the masses hear. lol…The bul was spittin in cantonese too. Jin is definitely slept on…skills for days….
Ja Rule ft. Ashley Joi- “Free” (listen)
I actually like the track…I can’t understand how we allowed 50 to body Ja for doing exactly what he doin now!!! I’ve never disliked Ja. Venni Vetti Vecci was indeed a problem….Ja has just been victim to competition but it seems like he’s coming back with a potentially infectious track with Ashley Joi….One thing i’ll say is that im tired of cats repeating the trite phrase, “if you love something you gotta let it go and if it comes back to you…yada yada” i mean…we get the point b. I do like the words to the song though. Quite Bones Thugs and harmony-esque….I like the production. could definitely bump this It sounds like a track that could put Ja back in the light since he’s been gone for a while…I do think he needs to drop some more things while 50’s out of the light…Need to pull an Olajuwon!!! Good one Ja!!!

Ya i heard this track earlier this morning and I think it’s one of the best songs I’ve heard from Ja Rule in a while. Hopefully he’ll come back with a nice album this year.
Yep….it’s not a bad track…good to see Ja workin with another vocalist aside from Ashanti…what you think about Ashley Joi’s vocals?
Pretty good, but you can’t really judge a singer on their ability to sing a chorus. The choruses are layered (sometimes up to 3-4 times) with an artists voice. Plus who knows what else is done to it.

I dont think Ja’s time has passed yet…I think he still has sommin up his sleeves…I’m wit it….I say let him do what works for him. The song isnt bad at all…I wonder if i like the song cause its Ja or b/c it reminds me of Bone…Would Bone have rocked this track better? who knows…
ya it sounds nice as long as everyone here knows were that style came from. Good track but that boy is biten hard its pretty sad when you got to steal some ones style to try to get back in the lime light. That boy sounds like he trying to be bone thugs in that tracked the way his verse is layered with harmonic singing. Yep for sure bone thugs if I have ever herd it.
Whats even worse is you people will go out and support this, but the true innovators of the style you act like they fell off. Sad Sad Sad music world we live in.
